A Team (All Week) Top▲
A utility position, A-Team volunteers will perform a variety of tasks throughout the event. This position is idea for the problem solver that's not afraid to fill in with different committees at different times.
Admissions (Wed - Sun) Top▲
On-site ticket sales at the “Main Gate” is the responsibility of this committee. This committee also administers “Will Call” where tickets may be left for others to pick up from a location near public parking. This committee checks credentials at the main entrance.
Caddie Hospitality (Mon - Sun) Top▲
Handle caddie registration, distribution and collection of caddie bibs and provide information as needed. Volunteers on this committee will not serve as caddies during the tournament.
Clubhouse Top▲
Committee is responsible for greeting everyone that enters the clubhouse and assisting professionals in the locker rooms and dining rooms.
Leaderboards (Thu - Sun) Top▲
Operate manual leaderboards and thru-boards at various sites throughout the course and post information received via handheld computer. May have to climb ladders and work on elevated platforms.
Greens Reporters (Thu - Sun) Top▲
Responsible for recording group scores at an assigned hole. Some golf knowledge is helpful.
Junior Clinic (Tue) Top▲
Committee organizes and plans the logistics of bringing approximately 500 kids on-site for a time of exhibition and learning. (Patience is very helpful!)
Marshals (Thu - Sun) Top▲
Serve as a marshal to ensure players are not disturbed during play and enforce
crowd control and golf etiquette among spectators.
Parking (Mon - Sun) Top▲
Committee works with Law Enforcement agencies and the parking chairman in various aspects of the Tournament’s parking and bus shuttle system. This committee begins very early in the morning.
Player Locker Room (Mon - Thu) Top▲
Duties include organizing nameplates on players' lockers, showing players their lockers, stocking Locker Room with necessary products and ensuring only individuals with proper credentials
enter the Locker Room.
Player Registration (Mon - Wed) Top▲
Duties include welcoming players and providing them with necessary credentials
plus general information about the tournament, Capitol Hill and the surrounding
area.
Pro-Am (Wed) Top▲
Responsible for managing the operation of both Pro-Am competitions. Duties include gift bag assembly and distribution and registration of amateur players.
Product Delivery (Mon - Sun) Top▲
Stock and deliver on-course refreshments to tee boxes and distribute pairing sheets. May require heavy lifting.
Practice Areas (Mon - Sun) Top▲
Manage the operation of the practice range and all other practice areas. Duties include distributing range balls by brand and placing the appropriate nameplate to identify each player.
Scoring Central/Communications (Thu - Sun) Top▲
Establishes communication between all committees at the tournament. Also,
essential in the scoring of the tournament. Some radio & computer knowledge is helpful.
Standard Bearers (Thu - Sun) Top▲
This committee is responsible for carrying the player identification signs and keeping spectators informed as to how the players are performing. Volunteers walk 18 holes
"inside the ropes" with players.
Scoring Tent (Thu - Sun) Top▲
It is the responsibility of this committee to see that all official scorecards are properly handled. When players complete their rounds, the signing and attesting of the scorecards is an extremely critical procedure.
Shuttles (Mon - Sun) Top▲
Provides on-course shuttle service for players and volunteers needing transportation.
Sponsor Relations (Thu - Sun) Top▲
Act as a liaison and host to corporate clients in various hospitality areas.
Starter/Announcer (Wed - Sun) Top▲
Committee is responsible for the announcement of each professional golfer or amateur from the starting tees and 18th green during the tournament.
Transportation (Pre-Sun -
Mon-After) Top▲
It is the responsibility of this committee to provide transportation for contestants, celebrities and officials before, during and after the tournament. Tournament cars are provided. Volunteers should be very knowledgeable of the area.
TV Spotters (Thu - Sun) Top▲
Committee works with the television production crew in monitoring the tournament leaders for television broadcast.
Volunteer Village (Mon - Sun) Top▲
Committee is the “administrative body” of the volunteers. They sign-in committees, distribute meal vouchers, and insure that food is distributed properly to the volunteers.
Volunteer Orientation and Uniforms Top▲
Assist with the set-up for all training sessions and volunteer uniform distribution and exchange.
Walking Scorers (Thu - Sun) Top▲
Record accurate hole-by-hole information for each player in group and transmit this information to Scoring Central via handheld computers. Must have thorough knowledge of golf, be
comfortable working with handheld computer and be able to walk 18 holes regardless of weather conditions.
Volunteer Orientation & Uniforms (All Week) Top▲
Assist with set-up for all trainings sessions and volunteer uniform distribution and exchange.
