ADMISSIONS
(Wed - Sun)
:: On-site ticket sales at the “Main Gate” is the responsibility of this committee. This committee also administers “Will Call” where tickets may be left for others to pick up from a location near public parking. This committee checks credentials at the main entrance.
BEAUTIFICATION
(Sun - Sun)
:: Committee is responsible for assisting with placement and maintenance of temporary landscaping (flowers, etc.) on tournament grounds. This committee begins weekend prior to tournament.
CLUBHOUSE
(Mon - Sun)
:: Committee is responsible for greeting everyone that enters the clubhouse and assisting the professionals in the locker rooms and the dining room.
CONSTRUCTION
(Before and after tournament)
:: Committee must erect everything that is not a permanent fixture. This includes signage, scoreboards, fences, ropes, stakes and more. This committee requires intensive labor in the heat. Volunteers must work mainly before and after the tournament.
DRIVING RANGE/
CADDIE
(Mon - Sun)
:: Volunteers are needed to secure the driving range area as well as maintain its cleanliness. Volunteers also distribute golf balls to the professionals. This committee begins very early in the morning. This committee is also responsible for administering the caddie tent during tournament week.
ECOLOGY
(Sun - Sun)
:: Committee is one of the most crucial in contributing to the aesthetic value of a first-class golf tournament. Volunteers are asked to help keep the grounds clean for an overall great appearance.
GREENS REPORTERS
(Thu - Sun)
:: Responsible for recording group scores at an assigned hole. Some golf knowledge is helpful.
JUNIOR CLINIC
(Day of Clinic)
:: Committee organizes and plans the logistics of bringing approximately 500 kids on-site for a time of exhibition and learning. (Patience is very helpful!)
MARSHALS
(Thu - Sun)
:: It is impossible to have a well-run and successful golf tournament without good gallery control. In the eyes of the players, the reputation of the tournament will, to a great extent, depend on a well behaved gallery. Marshals are very important in keeping things quiet and orderly on the course while a professional is hitting. Some golf knowledge is very helpful.
MEDIA
(Mon - Sun)
:: Committee is instrumental in the registering and logistical aspect of the local and national media. It is the sole responsibility of this committee to maintain relations between scoring central and the press room. Some media/public relations experience is required.
PARKING
(Mon - Sun)
:: Committee works with Law Enforcement agencies and the parking chairman in various aspects of the Tournament’s parking and bus shuttle system. This committee begins very early in the morning.
PRO-AM
(Wed)
:: Committee helps plan, organize and run the Pro-Am event. This committee begins very early in the morning.
REGISTRATION
(Mon - Wed)
:: Committee is responsible for assisting the players in registration and check-in process.
SCORING CENTRAL/
COMMUNICATIONS
(Thu - Sun)
:: Committee is instrumental in establishing communication between all committees at the golf tournament. This committee is also essential in the scoring of the tournament. Some radio & computer knowledge is helpful.
SCORING TENT
(Thu - Sun)
:: It is the responsibility of this committee to see that all official scorecards are properly handled. When players complete their rounds, the signing and attesting of the scorecards is an extremely critical procedure.
SHUTTLE (VOLUNTEER/PLAYER)
(Mon - Sun)
:: Committee provides an on-course shuttle service for volunteers needing transportation to and from their posts. They also provide shuttle service for the players. This committee begins very early in the morning.
SPONSOR HOSPITALITY
(Thu - Sun)
:: Committee is responsible for ensuring that the tournament corporate sponsors’ needs are being met. The volunteers work in the “Sky Boxes.”
STARTER/ANNOUNCER
(Wed - Sun)
:: Committee is responsible for the announcement of each professional golfer or amateur from the starting tees and 18th green during the tournament.
TRANSPORTATION
(Sun - Sun)
:: It is the responsibility of this committee to provide transportation for contestants, celebrities and officials before, during and after the tournament. Tournament cars are provided. Volunteers should be very knowledgeable of the area.
TV SCORERS/
SPOTTERS
(Thu - Sun)
:: Committee works with the television production crew in monitoring the tournament leaders for television broadcast.
UNIFORMS
(Uniform Distribution Days)
:: Committee will help distribute volunteer uniforms. These volunteers will be needed prior to tournament week.
VOLUNTEER VILLAGE
(Mon - Sun)
:: Committee is the “administrative body” of the volunteers. They sign-in committees, distribute meal vouchers, and insure that food is distributed properly to the volunteers.
WALKING SCORERS
(Thu - Sun)
:: Committee is responsible for keeping the players scorecards. This is a good committee for persons in good physical condition and able to walk 18 holes of golf.
WATER & ICE
(Mon - Sun)
:: It is the responsibility of this committee to make sure all on-course coolers are filled with ice and water each morning and brought in each evening. This committee begins very early in the morning and requires some heavy lifting.

Men: One Nike Dri-Fit university blue polo style shirt and golf cap
Ladies: One Nike Dri-Fit university blue polo style shirt and ladies visor or men's golf cap
Ladies and men should provide their own khaki pants.

One Volunteer Badge
This provides access onto the tournament grounds for the entire week, September 22-28, 2008.

One Volunteer Play Day Voucher
A voucher will be mailed after the tournament to qualified volunteers. Volunteers must work a minimum of three shifts during the tournament week. One shift is 5-6 hours. This voucher is good for one (1) green fee at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Capitol Hill. (A cart fee will be required.) The 2008 Golf Voucher will expire August 31, 2009. The voucher is good any time except weekends between February 13th and May 16th.

These are for your friends and family.

One lunch voucher will be provided for each day worked. Voucher is redeemable in Volunteer Village.
