Charity begins on the golf course at the 2010 Navistar LPGA Classic. You have the opportunity to make a local charity a big winner by participating in the Birdies for Charity program. Participating charities receive every single penny of the donations generated! Additionally, you have a chance to win great prizes when you pitch in to help the soliciting charity!

Birdies for Charity is a fundraising program designed to give participating charities the opportunity to generate contributions for their organization based on the number of birdies made by LPGA players during the Navistar LPGA Classic.

Eligible Charities:

• Must have 501(c) 3 status as recognized by the IRS
• Must be registered with the Alabama Secretary of State and meet the Better Business Bureau Standards for charitable solicitations

• Participating charities solicit pledges of $.01 or more per birdie or a flat donation of $10 or more from individuals or corporations
• Fundraising program that has no risk for charitable organizations. There are NO out-of-pocket expenses or fees to participating charities. All administrative costs will be handled by The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail Foundation
• Each participating charity will receive 100% of their collected donations

Prizes:

• "Guess the Birdies" Grand Prize - 3-Day, 2-Night stay at any of the Trail Resorts, plus 2-Days Unlimited Golf!
  • Every donor has the chance to guess the amount of birdies made during the tournament!  Please see the Information Manual for more details.
• Weekly Donor Give-a-ways every Friday starting September 3rd, 2010
  • Grand Prize for the give-a-way is an I-Touch to be given on October 8th!

• There are an average of 1,400 Birdies made during the tournament
• One $.01 pledge per birdie would net $14 for the participating organization
• This program raised over $24,000 at the 2009 Navistar LPGA Classic with over 35 local charities participating
• Bonus Bucks - 1st Place charity wins match up to $1,250, 2nd Place wins match up to $500, 3rd Place wins match up to $250
